Our drained ‘Low Profile’ double glazed aluminium framed opening ventilators can be readily incorporated into our double glazed patent glazing systems. With a choice of top or side hung hinges, our ventilators can be supplied in Polyester Powder, Anodised or Mill finish and glazed with 28-32mm thick infills. There are a variety of methods by which these ventilators can be operated, either individually or in banks. A. Single telescopic spindle (loop gear) operated by an integral handle or a separate mechanical long arm with cranked handle. B. Manually operated Teleflex (cable) screwjack gear. C. Cord operated screwjack gear (manual). D. Electrically operated linear or chain actuators. These can be controlled by a simple open-stop-close system using a wall mounted rocker switch, remote control and rain sensor. E. A more comprehensive electrical system which incorporates temperature & humidity sensor, rain sensors and touch timer or, F. Linked into the Building Management System (BMS). Note: All wiring up to actuators and control devices should be carried out by the electrical contractor.

Appearance

Materials are available in an untreated finish (Mill). Coloured finish (polyester powder coated to BS 6496 to a range of RAL colours) or anodized to BS3987.

Performance

This system is designed to conform to all requirements of BS 5516, 2004 when installed to all The Standard Patent Glazing recommendations and installation instructions.

Non-fragility

System can conform when installed to all The Standard Patent Glazings recommendations and installation instructions to ACR[M]001 2011 class A and CWCT TN 66 – 67 2010 class 2. Please contact us for further information and details.
